Development Department Volunteer/Intern

Main Line Art Center

Main Line Art Center seeks a volunteer or undergraduate/graduate level intern to assist the Development Department with day to day activities, special events, and projects. Volunteer/Intern dates and times are flexible and will require occasional evenings and weekends for special events. This is an unpaid position. Volunteer/Intern should be available a minimum of 8-12 hours weekly, for a duration of 6-8 months; longer term service is welcomed.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with membership renewal mailings as well as other mail-merge projects
- Assist with special events at the Center, including exhibition openings
- Database maintenance, list tracking, prospect research, and grant research as needed
- Other tasks as requested including those in other departments (Education, Programming, Exhibitions, or Communications)

Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills and an eye for details
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and knowledge of database systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Adobe suite a plus
- Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks at once, and adhere to deadlines

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Routine for office environment; occasional lifting of materials up to 25lbs.
