Upper Dublin Public Library (UDPL) is seeking a creative and collaborative Programming Assistant to deliver engaging, inspiring enrichment opportunities. This limited-term (with potential for extension or renewal), part-time position (22–25 hours per week), including periodic night and weekend hours, begins immediately.

As a member of the Library’s Community Engagement Team, this Programming Assistant position supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs primarily for adults, while providing secondary support for programs serving general audiences, families, and children. A key focus of this role is supporting UDPL’s highly successful Adult Discovery & Learning series, offered three seasons per year with four- to six-week courses on topics such as history, current events, art, music, and performance. Other responsibilities may include supporting high-profile bestselling author events, which connect readers with writers and contributing to a wide range of hands-on learning opportunities, including programs in fabric arts, science, technology, and other creative and educational disciplines.
