POSITION: Summer Art Camp Assistant

The Program Officer for Fellowships is responsible for advancing the ongoing grantmaking efforts of The Pew Center for Arts and Heritage (“the Center”) to foster a vibrant and inclusive cultural community in Greater Philadelphia. The Program Officer will report to and thoughtfully partner with the Director of Grantmaking Programs on the planning and implementation of the Center’s annual Pew Fellowships in the Arts grant cycle (“Fellowships). The Program Officer will collaborate with the Director of Grantmaking Programs in developing program strategy that actively generates ideas for capacity-building programming, editorial content, publications, and other activities that advance the Center’s mission.

Arch Street Meeting House Preservation Trust (ASMHPT) seeks a Visitor Services Associate to provide visitor services and operations assistance at Arch Street Meeting House.

Position Overview

The project director leads the processes and implementation strategies that leverage research, convening and policy engagement strategies to inform and enable Philadelphia policymakers with a focus on concrete policy and program recommendations, and adoption and implementation of those solutions in support of Philadelphia and Philadelphians. The project director brings strong strategic focus to Pew's policy engagement activities, contributing the right mix of outreach, policy research, policy implementation, and Pew's national expertise resulting in actions taken by policymakers, institutional actors and civic and advocacy groups on each of our issue areas. The project director manages and creates growth opportunities for staff, among other duties.

Merion Friends Meeting, a Quaker community established in 1682, seeks a part-time Community Engagement Coordinator to assist in growing attendance, diversity, and membership through sustained outreach and marketing efforts. In addition to outreach and marketing, the coordinator will help expand and coordinate the rentals of Friends Hall and will provide support for the Preservation Capital Campaign. Coordinator will help Merion achieve its goal of providing a well-grounded and embracing spiritual home for members of the Lower Merion and West Philadelphia community.

Afterschool Visual Art 

The winter/spring teaching artist afterschool position begins February 10th and runs to May 21st. Drawing and painting are the focus with the ability to incorporate other mediums. The classes run two times per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. West Park Cultural Center operates afterschool programming in West Philadelphia. Program participants range in age from 10 to 13 witha  class size of 15.

The Organization

ARTZ in the Making is a hands-on art-making program whose mission is to generate community, creativity, and connection. We are seeking trained artist-facilitators who will create opportunities for self-expression via art-making for residents living with dementia in care communities and people living with dementia in their own homes. There may also be opportunities for dementia care pairs (people living with dementia and their care partners) to participate together. Most programs occur monthly at a range of venues across Philadelphia and surrounding counties.
