make your mark on philadelphia’s youth!

Join our team of committed and socially-minded music educators!

Play On Philly (POP) is a non-profit that enriches K-12 students’ lives by providing daily, after-school music instruction in communities that have limited access to music education. With close to 300 students enrolled in POP programming through-out the city, we are looking for enthusiastic, rigorous and growth-minded individuals to round out the teaching artist roster.

The Opportunity

Supervised by the Music Center’s Site Coordinator and working in partnership with the Program Director, Music Director, other POP TAs, students and families, you will use the Play On Philly curriculum to plan for and teach a class of up to 12 students in their orchestral instruments, music literacy skills and ensemble playing. All POP TAs are responsible for encouraging students to adhere to the POP rules and guidelines for student citizenship.

This job is ideal for you if you enjoy and have experience working with school-aged children (kindergarten-12th grade), are creative and industrious and can problem-solve and multi-task on the spot!
