Philadelphia Young Playwrights is currently seeking an intern for the 2017-18 academic year to assist with digital storytelling creation and content delivery for marketing and programmatic activities. 

This mid-level Intern will assist with storytelling for social media and marketing.  Main tasks will include social media content creation and platform management and videoing and editing of program activity.   The intern should be excited to take lead in many aspects of the content creation and project management, while also collaborating with and reporting to full-time staff.

Job Duties

  • implement creative and dynamic strategies of storytelling and content delivery on various platforms for marketing and programmatic activities
  • interface with staff, teaching and classroom artists
  • video creation and editing skills
  • research emerging best practices in social media 

Ideal candidates will be reliable, detail-oriented and dedicated and have a professional attitude, with a passion for writing and/or theatre, a strong ability to navigate digital platforms, and a desire to work in the non-profit theatre hub of Philadelphia. Intern reports to the Connectivity Manager.

Start and end dates, as well as scheduling for this position can be very flexible to fit the candidate’s needs and commitments, with some/most work happening off-site. The intern must be available to attend program activities on some weekends.
