The Art Partnership is seeking a dynamic and creative Project Manager to lead and manage art curation and design projects from concept to completion. This role blends an artistic vision with project management, geared to meeting a client’s needs. This position will work on small scale projects individually as well as on larger scale projects collaboratively. This position is highly varied - from art research and presentation preparation in the office to artwork installation at the client site. The candidate should possess expertise in interior design or graphic design, and implementing digital tools like Photoshop and/or Illustrator, along with a background or interest in the arts. The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients, artists, designers, and vendors to curate and deliver visually compelling environments that align with brand identity and spatial aesthetics.
Project Managers travel for site visits and installations mostly in and around Philadelphia, but also to New Jersey, Connecticut, New York City, central and western Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Viginia. This position may require daily or overnight travel up to 25% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Oversee end-to-end project curation lifecycle: planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, artists, and internal teams to ensure timely and on-budget completion.
- Work with client to create an artwork budget proposal that corresponds and fits within the overall project budget.
- Manage artwork curation, procurement, installation logistics, and quality control of art pieces and design elements.
Art Consulting & Curation
- Develop art concepts tailored to client expectations, brand identity, and spatial context.
- Source and recommend artwork, artists, and design elements for healthcare, corporate, multi-family, senior living, hospitality and educational environments.
- Prepare presentations and mood boards to communicate creative direction.
Design & Visualization
- Create visual mockups, renderings, and layouts using Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design tools.
- Collaborate with architects and interior designers to ensure seamless artwork integration with overall design intent.
- Produce marketing and proposal materials with strong graphic design sensibility.
Client Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project.
- Present concepts and updates professionally and persuasively.
- Ensure client satisfaction through clear communication and exceptional service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Fine Arts, Art History, Graphic Design, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in art consulting, curation, project management, or interior design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and understanding of spatial design.
- Ability to read and work with an architectural floor plan.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CAD or 3D rendering software.
- Knowledge of contemporary art trends and artist networks.
- Familiarity with sustainable and innovative design practices.
