The Franklin Institute, the most visited museum in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, strives to be the world leader in promoting science and technology education and literacy through inspiring and engaging experiences that cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and an understanding of the crucial role science plays in our lives.

The Summer Archives Fellow assists the Archivist in special projects at the Post Learning Commons and Drexel Library at Saint Joseph's University. This is a part time fellow position that lasts from June 10, 2024 -August 23, 2024. The Fellowship is made possible through the Gladys Brooks Foundation.

Our Public Engagement Representatives are part of a dynamic team whose goal is to greet and interact with Museum guests. Individuals in this position are responsible for selling tickets to the museum, historic ships, and boat rentals, assisting customers in the Museum Store, as well as occasionally assisting with the waterfront and public programming all while making customer service the highest priority. This is a part time seasonal position.

Christ Church Preservation Trust is currently searching for 1-2 Educators to join our team. We are a non-profit organization created to ensure the preservation, restoration and maintenance of historic Christ Church, the Neighborhood House and the Christ Church Burial Ground.

Responsibilities:

Give tours of Christ Church and the Burial Ground (training provided).

Assist with special events and visitor services.

Promote and upsell tours and other educational opportunities.

Using POS (Square) to sell admissions and merchandise.

The Manager of Interpretation and Engagement is responsible for managing all of Wyck’s public programs, including History Hunters, public festivals, tour groups, and open hours.  The position includes adherence to Wyck’s interpretive mission, staff and volunteer coordination for programs, and evaluation.  The Manager of Interpretation and Engagement will attend meetings of the Collections Committee, Development Committee, Membership & Visitation Committee, and Young Friends of Wyck.

The Manager of Interpretation and Engagement will also work with the Executive Director, Development Committee, and other staff and volunteers to implement various aspects of Wyck’s annual fundraising efforts.

Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site (ESPHS) seeks outgoing, engaging and passionate people for the position of Night Tours Educator. This position greets and directs visitors and supports hands-on programming that encourages reflection on the penitentiary's history and legacy of criminal justice reform. Activities and tours aim to prompt conversation on issues of justice today.
