Park Avenue Community Center

The Park Avenue Community Center is seeking an energetic and versatile person to be the backbone of our community organization's evening operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy wearing multiple hats, and love making a difference in your community, this could be your perfect opportunity!  This position is seasonal from September to the end of May with the possibility of extension through the summer.

Mondays - Thursdays from 5 pm - 9 pm
Saturdays - 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
$20 per hour / 20 hours per week to start
The Center is closed during Spring Break/Holy Week and the week between Christmas and New Year and all major holidays.

What You'll Do:
• Welcome and assist community members with registration and program information
• Oversee facility operations, including room setups and equipment management
• Handle administrative tasks and support marketing initiatives
• Manage rental inquiries
• Ensure spaces are clean, organized, and ready for activities
• Assist with audiovisual equipment setup and operation

The Ideal Candidate Has:
• A warm, welcoming personality with exceptional customer service skills
• Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail
• The ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy
• Good judgment and independent decision-making capabilities
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and move furniture (tables, chairs)
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technology
• Flexibility to work evening hours and Saturday mornings
