What We Do

Shofuso is a traditional-style Japanese house and nationally ranked garden in West Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, administered by the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia (JASGP). We preserve, maintain, and interpret Shofuso and provide educational programs about Japanese arts, business, and culture. The site is open air with a 1.2 acre garden and a structure with open doors and breezeways in all seasons.

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library encompasses an unrivaled museum of American decorative arts in its mansion and galleries and a magnificent 60-acre naturalistic garden—all set on 1,000 gorgeous acres.

Chanticleer is seeking a part-time Visitor Services Supervisor to join the Public Programs team. Reporting to the Public Programs Manager, this individual will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by supervising the day-to-day operations of our Visitor Services team, which includes part-time receptionists and tour guides.

The American Swedish Historical Museum is seeking an outgoing and friendly team member to manage all aspects of the Museum’s operations and customer service needs on the weekends, including serving at the Admissions Desk and Gift Shop. Weekend Managers also serve as ASHM staff representatives during rental events, supervising building safety and security, and providing customer service to guests attending.

Requirements 

This program is a full-time-plus commitment running from early September to mid-June. Housing and transportation are the apprentice’s responsibility. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 

About the Program 

Sales Associates are frontline ambassadors of the Museum of the American Revolution and play a vital role in shaping the visitor’s experience with the institution and their lasting impression. Associates provide warm, helpful, and inclusive service while supporting retail sales goals and sharing mission-aligned product information in the Museum Shop. This position reports to the Museum Store Manager.
