Please Touch Museum seeks a Communication Coordinator who is responsible for supporting the Senior Director, Marketing & Communication with administrative support, and assisting the Marketing & Communication department with projects as assigned. S/he will answer all incoming calls to the Museum’s main line and respond to routine and general questions about the Museum. Provides effective customer service by establishing a working relationship with internal and external customers Some driving may be required. Will assist in the booking school & other general groups through the Altru system

Essential functions are, but not limited to: Assist Marketing & Communication division with administrative duties; e.g. database maintenance, review of departmental collateral such as marketing brochures, sales and communications literature, and scheduling of departmental meetings; work with Senior Director and departmental Managers to create project timelines; provide general office support; answer all incoming calls to the Museum’s main line; provide timely feedback to the regarding customer concerns; respond to online request forms for group visits; perform clerical duties related to group sales ; and assist with confirmation calls in the absence of the Birthday Party Lead.

Minimum Qualifications: At least 2+ years of prior office experience required. Must have an Associate degree and/or administrative technical school certification. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills. Proven excellent customer services skills. Have at least 1+ years on customer service capacity. Excellent edit and proofreading skills necessary. Experience working in an inbound call center strongly preferred. Be able to take direction and gave the accurate and proper information to callers. Be able to multi-task projects and be flexible with the workflow. Understanding database systems, preferably Altru. Able to populate a project management spreadsheet and update records. Excel, Word, Publisher, Basecamp, Google documents. Data collections, analysis and project management. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Demonstrates excellent written ability and proofreading skills. Pleasant speaking voice and patience when dealing with guests. Always being a great listener with a positive and proactive solution. Work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday.
