Now celebrating our 20th Anniversary Season, BalletX is growing, and we’re looking for a passionate, creative, and collaborative Development Manager to join our team!
BalletX, Philadelphia’s premier contemporary ballet company, is changing the way people experience dance. Hailed as “among America’s best” by The New York Times, BalletX commissions and performs new works that celebrate diverse voices and push the boundaries of ballet. Through our performances, education programs, and community initiatives, we’re making dance accessible and inspiring to audiences in Philadelphia and around the world.
The Development Manager plays a key role in growing BalletX’s community of supporters and sustaining our mission through meaningful relationships, engaging storytelling, and strategic fundraising initiatives.
This position is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, believes in the power of the arts, and thrives in a creative, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. The Development Manager will manage donor communications and stewardship, oversee the annual fund, and play a hands-on role in cultivating new supporters through events, campaigns, and community engagement.
This role is full-time with a salary range of $70,000-$80,000 and accompanying benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the annual fund and donor campaigns, coordinating appeals, renewals, and acknowledgments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with BalletX donors, patrons, and community members through personalized engagement and stewardship.
- Partner with the Director of Major Giving and leadership team to create inspiring donor experiences that deepen loyalty and increase giving.
- Support major gifts and sponsorship efforts with research, proposals, and meeting preparation.
- Collaborate across departments to tell BalletX’s story through compelling content, donor communications, and special events.
- Help plan and execute fundraising and cultivation events, including the annual Gala, opening night receptions, and in-studio events.
- Maintain accurate donor records in BalletX’s CRM, PatronManager, and assist with reports and data analysis.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, and mission-driven culture.
