Education Director

Directs Taller Puertorriqueño’s (Taller) on site out of school time educational programs, and other Education Collaborations and initiatives. As part of the managerial team, the Education Director supports Taller’s mission and work to provide Puerto Rican/Latino culturally specific education programs and activities as established in the organization’s strategic plan, and as determined under the leadership and guidance of the Executive Director.  

Directs and ensures that all designated educational activities and program goals including immediate, annual and long range are met and accomplished.                                              

Directs, approves and ensures that all aspects of Taller’s art and cultural education programs in-house, and offsite initiatives, are implemented including curriculum development, research and development of new initiatives. 

Creates and supervises the preparation of appropriate promotional materials in support of approved programs, and meets with media and community representatives to promote programs as outlined in Taller’s outreach and marketing strategies.                                                 

Represents Taller within the educational community. 

Recruits, selects, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates education staff.
