Philadelphia Women's Theatre Festival

Philadelphia Women’s Theatre Festival (PWTF) is seeking a Website & Design Specialist to join their arts management team.  The Website & Design Specialist reports directly to the Marketing Manager.  This is an 8-month position (February 2022 – September 2022) with the opportunity to extend the contract.  This position offers a flexible schedule and requires approximately 10 hours of remote work per month, plus virtual staff meetings.  On-site availability is preferred for special events, as well as the 8th annual festival (August 4 - 7, 2022).  During the height of festival season (June through mid-August), monthly hours are expected to increase to approximately 10 – 15.  

Website & Design Specialists job responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to design social media content for all PWTF channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook Community Page)
  • Maintain brand identity and PWTF approved language across all print and digital marketing materials 
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with MailChimp emails as needed (monthly newsletters, fundraising campaign emails, festival emails, etc.) 
  • Design content for print and digital marketing materials (Festival program, postcards, invitations, Facebook event covers, digital slides, etc.) in collaboration with design consultants and/or the PWTF Marketing Manager
  • Maintain an up to date website at phillywomenstheatrefest.org which includes designing new pages or content as needed.
  • Working closely with artistic, development and general management staff to coordinate marketing efforts
  • Share new ideas and marketing strategies that excite you

Compensation:

  • $250/month (8 month contract totaling $2000)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in theatre, marketing or a related field
  • A passion for PWTF’s mission, vision and values to create opportunities for women in theatre and amplify unheard voices
  • Excellent written communication and relationship building skills.  
  • Proficient in design tool software (Such as Adobe Suite & Canva), Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Proven ability to work well both independently and collaboratively. 
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Flexibility/adaptability (a can-do attitude!)
