FIRST PERSON ARTS’ STORY

Teen Lounge at Fleisher Art Memorial is now accepting workshop proposals for our Winter/Spring term (January-May)!

Proposals should offer teens an exciting opportunity to explore a theme or medium of relevance to their age group. Experimental proposals are encouraged, and teaching artists have any studios/facilities at Fleisher at their disposal including printmaking, darkroom and ceramics. Past workshop topics have included sewing plush monsters, beatmaking, character design, figure drawing, wheatpaste street art, and more! This opportunity pays $595 for 8 hours of instruction total. 

As part of the selection process, 15 artists will be invited to present workshop ideas to teen participants on Wednesday November 1 from 4-6pm; the teens will then discuss the options and vote to choose their favorite ideas.

The Master of Arts in Theatre program at VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY offers a distinct fusion of inspiring academic work and practical production experience. Our flexible, multi-faceted degree program prepares students from a variety of disciplines to succeed on stage, behind-the-scenes and in the classroom. The comprehensive MA can be completed in two years as a full-time student.

Summary Statement

Mural Arts Philadelphia’s Mural Arts Institute (MAI), is dedicated to advancing research on and development of socially-engaged public art practices. It provides capacity building, technical assistance, knowledge sharing, and networking to individual artists and organizations outside of Philadelphia, but is anchored in our own local practices.

Reporting to the Director of Festival Operations the Philadelphia Film Festival Venue Coordinator is responsible for managing all Festival-related, front-of-house aspects of Festival venues, including but not limited to volunteer staff, crowd control, audience load-in and out, coordinating with the venue’s permanent staff, and customer service.

Reporting to the Director of Festival Operations, the Festival Operations Assistant provides support for the successful operational and logistical execution of the Philadelphia Film Festival.
