WXPN, the public media service of the University of Pennsylvania, seeks a self-motivated Sales Representative to generate and cultivate sponsorship for our Business Support team.
Under the direction of the Director of Sponsorship, they will design and implement sales efforts targeting potential business sponsors for local programming, events, digital assets, and prospect for new business. They will manage current accounts to ensure timely collection and to increase renewal revenue. Work with other station departments including marketing, events and programming as necessary. Attend staff meetings, industry conferences when appropriate, and networking events. Perform other work as needed, including compiling personal weekly sales reports, activity reports, and working with the traffic department to ensure the campaigns are accurate and that sponsorship announcements are written, approved, scheduled, and run appropriately.

About the position
PhillyCAM seeks a person who is passionate about the importance of community media production and moving resources to communities most often marginalized in the field of media arts. The Director of Development and Partnerships will be someone with proven success in fundraising from individuals, foundations and government agencies. Since relationship building is fundamental to all fundraising efforts, the ideal candidate will also be a people person who enjoys connecting with a wide range of people throughout our city at forums, screenings and other events. The person should also be a systems thinker and familiar with managing a database and collecting quantitative data organization-wide to strengthen the stories of PhillyCAM’s impact. This is a new position at the organization and has guaranteed funding for at least two years.
