Ceramics Technician Internship

Main Line Art Center

Main Line Art Center seeks an intern to assist in the ceramics studio. Sundays are a required day and other hours are flexible. This position is unpaid; free or discounted tuition in art class/open studio of choice as compensation or college credits are possible. Ceramics Studio Intern for the fall term (September-December) will work for 7-10 hours a week to assist the Ceramics Studio Manager with day to day studio activities and maintenance, as well as special projects.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail
  • Basic knowledge of ceramic processes, including clay, glazes and firing
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks at once, and adhere to deadlines
