Meridee Winters School of Music

The Meridee Winters School of Music – a joyful Main Line educational presence for over 30 years – is seeking a detail-oriented, organized individual to join our administrative team in a meaningful role that combines billing and organizational skills with the joy of supporting music education.

About This Role

Perfect for a parent returning to the workforce, a former classroom teacher or someone seeking flexible, meaningful work supporting creativity and kids! You'll be a behind-the-scenes hero at our Ardmore office who loves to keep a lot of details organized and interacting with our busy parents and creative teachers.

Schedule

15-25 hours per week (school-day hours, generally in the 10-3 range or similar), Monday-Friday. The exact hours can be negotiated upon hiring.

Very occasional night and weekend hours for our teacher meetings and events: a Weds. evening for our monthly teacher workshops (which we don't host over the summer), and weekend hours when we have our seasonal shows (Halloween, early June etc.)

Compensation: $20-$25/hour based on experience

What You'll Do Daily

  • Billing & Financial Administration: Process tuition payments, manage accounts and handle family billing inquiries with empathy and professionalism. (If you don’t have direct billing experience but are organized and meticulous, don't worry – we can train you on our billing software.)
  • Parent Communication: Serve as a warm, knowledgeable contact for families regarding billing questions, scheduling, signups and school information
  • Database Management: Keep our student management system organized and current
  • Administrative Support: Help with scheduling coordination, teacher communications, events and special projects

You're Perfect for This Role If You:

  • Have a proven passion for music or education (college courses taken on the subject, experience, etc.)
  • Are detail-oriented with numbers and enjoy the satisfaction of accurate, organized systems
  • Love connecting with families and can communicate warmly with parents and students
  • Are comfortable with technology (Google Drive, phone apps, databases, communication platforms)
  • Want meaningful work that directly supports children's creative development

Requirements

  • College degree, minimum 3.0 GPA, preference for music or education majors or at least 9 credits in either subject if not your major
  • 2+ years professional experience
  • Experience in music and/or education
  • Reliable transportation for occasional errands
  • Live within 25 minutes of our Ardmore office (convenient to the entire Main Line)

Our main office is located in Ardmore, and we serve families throughout Montgomery and Delaware Counties, including Bryn Mawr, Haverford, Narberth, Villanova, King of Prussia, and beyond. Our innovative curriculum teaches creativity from day one, and we host magical performances including our whimsical Halloween show and year-end musical festival.
