Job Title: 360 Culture Lab Project Coordinator  

Reports to: Director of Exhibitions and Community Outreach  

Position Classification: Part-time, contracted, grant-funded position   

Wage Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt 21 hours/week, $26/hour  

 

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The 360 Cultural Lab Project Coordinator is a grant-funded position (anticipated end date September 30, 2022) to support Fleisher Art Memorial’s 360 Culture Lab project. As an arts incubator supported by The Pew Center of Arts & Heritage, 360 Culture Lab creates opportunities to preserve and share Indonesian and Venezuelan cultural life and traditions through Fleisher’s collaborations with immigrant communities in South Philadelphia. Since the program’s launch last year, Fleisher has shared space and resources with two organizational partners (Casa de Venezuela and Modero & Company) to collaborate on a series of community engagement programs with culminating events for each group to be hosted at Fleisher later this year. 

The 360 Culture Lab Coordinator will report to the Director of Exhibitions and Community Outreach (Project Director), but will also have the opportunity to work closely with project collaborators from the Indonesian and Venezuelan communities as well serve on a cross-collaborative team comprised of the Communications and Development departments.   

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Coordinate and be present for all 360 Cultural Lab meetings and events; available to work on evenings and weekends. Provide on-site technical and logistical support. 
  • Coordinate project activities, on-site and off-site, in consultation with the Project Director and 360 Culture Lab partners. 
  • Provide project support to 360 Cultural Lab partners by coordinating and scheduling space for Community Advisory meetings and rehearsals. 
  • Communicate with and report regularly to the Director of Community Outreach; participate in cross-departmental project meetings as needed. 
  • Collect data and contact information in every community engagement effort to prepare status reports and progress updates for Project Director related to funder reporting and evaluation. 
  • Serve as point person to collate information and materials, coordinating promotional efforts related to the project with guidance from the Project Director and Director of Communications. 
  • Assist in the visual documentation of events, working closely with the Communications team to ensure proper documentation for marketing and reporting purposes. 
  • Assist the Project Director as needed with administrative functions related to 360 Culture Lab (e.g., collecting proof of payment). 
  • Other project duties as assigned. 

  

REQUIRED/PREFERRED RELATED EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCIES: 

  • Basic familiarity and experience with Microsoft suite programs. 
  • Project management experience a plus, but not required. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Indonesian a plus, but not required. 
  • Experience within community-based settings is a plus, but not required. 

 

HIRING TEAM AND PROCESS: 

Upon approval of the application by HR, the candidate will be asked to meet (remotely or in-person) with the Project Team which includes: 

  • Director of Community Engagement – Gerard Silva  
  • Director of Communications – Erin Sweeny 
  • Director of Development – Catherine Lee 

Pending approval from the Project Team, the candidate will then move on to a final meeting with the Interim Executive Director, Rebecca O’Leary.
