The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance was founded in 1972 and is one of the nation’s best-known and most effective arts service organizations.  We operate in five counties surrounding Philadelphia, and also serve southern New Jersey and Northern Delaware as part of our metropolitan region.  We have over 450 nonprofit and for-profit members, but the Alliance serves the entire cultural sector – over 1,500 performing arts, visual arts, history, science, horticulture, arts education, community art centers and other cultural organizations. 

Historic Fair Hill is a nonprofit that stewards a 5 acre site, supports community revitalization projects, and serves as a school partner in the School District of Philadelphia.

The Box Office Supervisor is a part-time position (approximately 15-30 hours per week) and is responsible for providing excellent customer service and fostering a professional atmosphere within the Box Office. The position will be required to manage the box office during show times on a rotational basis.

Settlement is looking for a part-time Student Services Assistant at our Kardon Northeast Branch. Glen Foerd seeks a fulltime Facilities Manager and Site Caretaker. A rent-free 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom historic house is included as part of the salary package.

Facilities Manager (FM) performs skilled maintenance, repair, and minor construction work to ensure that the 1850’s Glen Foerd historic site and buildings are properly maintained and meet preservation standards. Responsible for total property maintenance and oversight as well as identifying and planning work. Duties may fall into a variety of trades, including carpentry, painting, mechanical, alarm responses, fire and life safety and keys/security systems. In addition to hands-on maintenance, FM identifies repair and maintenance projects requiring the assistance of contractors or vendors; participates in estimates and evaluations of project costs; monitors work of vendors or contractors; assists in the review of construction or remodel plans to assure compliance with preservation maintenance standards.

The Executive Director (ED) will partner with Founding Artistic Director John Jarboe, The Bearded Ladies staff, Associate Artists, and the larger community in shaping the next phase of The Bearded Ladies Cabaret. They will lead The Bearded Ladies in community building, resource development and allocation, and strategic planning. The ED will manage staff and facilities, and partner with the Artistic Director on program strategy and the long-term growth of the organization.

Our Culture:

The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance seeks several surveyors to assist with surveying of arts and culture audiences from July 2022 - May 2023.

Surveyors will help to gather key data points (how much audiences spend, why they’re attending events, demographic information etc.) from audiences at arts and culture events in Greater Philadelphia. Data collected throughout this year will play an essential role in a nationwide research effort led by Americans for the Arts. Arts and culture organizations depend on that research, which is only possible through the work of the surveyors, to inform programming, operations, and most importantly, to secure funding for the vital work that they do.
