The Boyer College Coordinator and Scheduler will support a wide variety of activities under the supervision of the Vice Dean of Finance and Administration, CPCA. The Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day administrative operations in Music Studies which include: monitoring and tracking of departmental budget for department chair, processing all Accounts Payable paperwork/requests, travel reimbursements, purchasing of supplies, event planning and preparation, answering departmental inquiries, maintaining departmental database and resources, and maintaining a professional public image of the department through website and social media presence including regularly updating the departmental webpage with faculty activities, sending social media invites and reminders regarding Colloquium presentations and other faculty and student-related events, and soliciting and posting feedback from attendees. Supports students and faculty with organizing and maintaining up-to-date materials for music theory and elective classes under the Music Studies Chair’s direction. Assists the Music Studies Chair with the online hiring process for adjunct faculty. Communicates protocols regarding course selection, prioritization, and possible substitutions to students within the music minor program.
The Coordinator will provide support to the Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts (CPCA) Dean’s office by creating and managing the Boyer College of Music and Dance schedule of classes in Banner, along with oversight/management of classroom/practice space. Banner oversight/management requires attention to detail, ability to understand Boyer College curriculum, student needs, department needs, enrollment requirements, classroom, and practice space needs and how this applies to academic and performance instruction. This position will provide assistance with various duties, reports, spreadsheets, presentations; processing appropriate documentation to accounts payable and/or purchasing on behalf of the Dean’s office. This position will assist with the Music Studies admissions/testing process in conjunction with the CPCA Recruiting and Admissions team and the music masters level diagnostic testing and administration and proctoring of DMA Performance exams as needed. Assists the Presser Main Office/Dean’s Office with daily inquiries and supports all faculty, staff and students as needed; Assists the CPCA recruiting and admissions area with project-based tasks as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
