Play On Philly (POP) is a non-profit organization that provides daily, after-school music instruction to over 300 K-12 students. We work in communities that historically have had little or no access to formal music education. We are seeking a Program Coordinator for our Music Center at St. Francis de Sales School (SFDS) in Philadelphia. This individual will help us deliver the best experience possible to our students and families. 

 

Job Description

The Program Coordinator for St. Francis de Sales School (SFDS) is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations of the SFDS Music Center, contributing to summer program administration, and contributing to POP program success overall. This full-time position supervises a team of Teaching Artists and runs the out of school time programming at SFDS which runs Monday-Thursday from 2:30 – 5:00pm. You will be responsible for all day-to-day operational tasks, student recruitment and enrollment, family communications, collection and management of student data, and building an excellent relationship with our Music Center partner. You will work closely with the Program Team to plan and execute small and large-scale events, collaborative rehearsals with students from other POP Music Centers, and performances. Each member of the Program Team is assigned special projects throughout the year to support programmatic and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience working with young people 
  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience managing a team
  • Experience working with culturally, racially, and economically diverse populations
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
