Community Engagement Manager, Mary Louise Curtis Branch 416 Queen St  Philadelphia, PA 19147

The Community Engagement Manager will collaborate closely with the Chief Academic Officer, the Director of the Kardon Center for Arts Therapy, and all Program Staff to build upon successful partnership models in four divisions of the School – Community Partnerships, Concert Division, Settlement Music Online, and building usage.  They will develop and manage mutually beneficial relationships between partners and Settlement.

The Community Engagement Manager reports to the Chief Academic Officer. The Manager will work primarily out of Settlement’s Central Office while also being required to visit partnerships on a weekly basis. The position is in person four days a week with the possibility of working from home one day a week. The Manager must have access to a vehicle as driving to partnership programs is required.  Evening and weekend availability may be asked from time to time.

Specific responsibilities for this full-time position include:

  • In consultation with the Chief Academic Officer, design responsive partnership programs and oversee implementation.
  • Coordinate communication, schedules, and facilitation of programs ensuring timely contract renewals and submission of support documents with all partners.
  • Coordinate select student performances for the Concert Division.
  • Manage the logistics of Settlement Music Online.
  • Coordinate faculty schedules and payroll/payments for all four divisions.
  • Become a proficient user of Salesforce to track all partnership activities.
  • Work with Program Staff to build community connections, increasing the opportunity to maximize building usage and create partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Two years’ teaching experience.
  • Previous experience in a professional office and/or customer service setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge and curiosity about current program trends in music education.
  • Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse constituency.
  • Think strategically and work collaboratively.
  • Manage multiple projects efficiently with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner and seek guidance when needed.
  • Be an outstanding advocate of Settlement’s mission.
