We are currently seeking a Director, Membership to lead our membership team in driving revenue growth and enhancing member experience. This is a strategic leadership role focused on optimizing team performance and ensuring sustainable membership acquisition and retention.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the membership team’s day-to-day sales and engagement execution.
- ·Provide hands-on coaching and professional development to Membership Advisors and Engagement Managers.
- Oversee the Chamber’s membership sales pipeline and retention strategies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute long-term membership growth plans.
- Represent the membership team in prospective and current member meetings, external events, investor sales meetings and strategic initiatives.
- Develop proactive employee recruitment and transition plans for team sustainability.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role overseeing membership sales and engagement, business development and customer engagement, or related experience, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and sustaining long-term relationships.
- Strong ability to drive sales performance without direct competition, creating a supportive and high-achieving team culture.
- Experience managing sales pipelines, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing data-driven coaching and sales strategies.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a high-performing team that engages members/clients/customers, builds strong relationships, and drives growth and retention.
- Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities
- Prior experience in a chamber of commerce, association, or member-driven organization is a plus.
- Residency in the Greater Philadelphia region

Work Conditions
The Chamber is currently working in a hybrid work environment that allows for a flexible work schedule, while requiring employees to work in-person at least two days each week. When on-site, this individual will work in a typical office environment. On a standard workday, the majority of time is spent sitting at a desk, using the computer and speaking on the phone. However, at times, this role will be required to attend Chamber events or related outside meetings/events on behalf of the Chamber. These meetings/events may take place outside of regular business hours and outside of center city Philadelphia.
Compensation
Base of $80K-$115 with eligibility for additional incentive based on team performance and goal achievement.
