Executive Director

Allens Lane Art Center (ALAC) seeks an Executive Director to lead a vibrant, community-centered arts organization with a rich history and a strong trajectory of growth and impact. Working in partnership with a committed, active Board and talented staff, the Executive Director oversees all programs, staff, and services in support of ALAC’s mission, vision, and values.

The Art Partnership is seeking a dynamic and creative Art Consultant Project Manager to lead and manage art curation and design projects from concept to completion. This role blends an artistic vision with project management, geared to meeting a client’s needs.

The Assistant Manager, Play Operations serves as the museum’s daily Manager on Duty (MOD) and is responsible for the successful oversight of museum floor operations. The Assistant Manager will work across departments to ensure high-quality playful visitor experience and excellent customer service to all museum visitors. This position will coordinate play and family experiences in museum exhibits and programming spaces, oversee daily floor operations, and be responsible for scheduling floor coverage and other administrative duties in the Museum Learning department.

Director, Integrated Brand Content & Storytelling

Why this role exists: This role exists to tell the Museum’s story—clearly, creatively, and consistently—far beyond its walls. The Director leads how the Museum shows up in the world through words, visuals, video, and editorial judgment, shaping content that enhances relevancy, drives visitation, and brings the mission of learning through play to life. This is a higher-level, hands-on role for someone who can think like an editor, create like a producer, and lead with strong creative instincts.

The Art Director must be an accomplished designer with vision, initiative, and autonomy who can act as creative partner, internal critic, and sounding board. As a member of the Brand team, the Art Director executes the Barnes Foundation’s brand strategy and ensures consistency across media by managing the design of print and digital materials for marketing, education, and membership. As head of the Design department, the Art Director oversees the work of the Senior Designer and manages the departmental budget. The Art Director oversees concepting and design of exhibition graphics and other collateral for special exhibitions and works with the Director of Design and Publications and Production Manager to ensure that books and catalogues meet the highest standards.

Requirements 

This program is a full-time-plus commitment running from early September to mid-June. Housing and transportation are the apprentice’s responsibility. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 

About the Program 

The Program Officer for Fellowships is responsible for advancing the ongoing grantmaking efforts of The Pew Center for Arts and Heritage (“the Center”) to foster a vibrant and inclusive cultural community in Greater Philadelphia. The Program Officer will report to and thoughtfully partner with the Director of Grantmaking Programs on the planning and implementation of the Center’s annual Pew Fellowships in the Arts grant cycle (“Fellowships). The Program Officer will collaborate with the Director of Grantmaking Programs in developing program strategy that actively generates ideas for capacity-building programming, editorial content, publications, and other activities that advance the Center’s mission.
